 Pitter, patter.

The rainfall taps lightly at the window;

Our eyes meet. Through the darkness she coyly blush.

I reach forward, and our fingers touch-

We draw closer, her fragrance illuminates, ever so sweet

My arms around her, her gaze meets mine

She smiles, just a little;

Eyes close, lips touch, the night complete.

As her hearbeats sound next to mine, a thunder claps-

rudely interrupting whats our private time

But as my eyes open my heart sinks,

Nothing, but sounds of those outside having drinks.

I shift in my blanket, turning to my side

Pitter, patter.

The rainfall tapping lightly at my window.
