Aston Martin DB9 August 19, 2007

I was over at Sarah’s place on Friday for a visit since I’ve HARDLY seen her since ever..And I had a pleasantly, superbly orgasmic surprise when I helped her throw out her disfunctional vacuum cleaner in the dumpster at the basement carpark-

An Aston DB9- for those less informed, the Aston DB9 was the car featured briefly in the last James Bond movie, Casino Royale.
Except this was a step better-

It was a freakin CONVERTIBLE.

Now I’m not usually a Car man, much less one for sports cars-I iodlize the Mini Cooper, so you know the sort of cars i like. But this car simply looked SO sweet and awesome and strong and masculine at the same time it completely took me over. I mean you simply don’t SEE cars like that in Malaysia, or for that matter, on the road.
This weekend was a rather eventful one for me- Met Bernard and Jooken for viet food this afternoon in the city, which ended with the pair of them dragging me off for a game of DOTA- YEA you heard me, DOTA. Yow Keat playing DOTA?? Dude thats like me landing a date!
But with Jooken…’tutoring’ I made it through playing three on five insane (which speaks volumes for me, I only died like…3-4 times and I made FIVE kills!”LIKE WHOA!”) It I have to say, its really stirred me up to want to give DOTA a go =P
Its halftime for the manchester derby….and man the games going like the previous two United games- Full of potential but SHIT score.

I miss home
I miss alot of things.
Anyway. Hoyts? sounds like some weird baby-talk doesn’t it?
In fact, its the name of a cinema.
Yeeeap. You heard me. A cinema. Instead of TGV and GSC, we have Hoyts, Village, and a bunch of other smaller cinemas here in Melbourne.
Now I’ve been resisting the urge to watch a movie ever since touching down to melbourne, simply because each ticket costs around 11bucks. I managed to stop myself from watching Transformers again ( and well, partially because nobody wanted to accompany me) I managed to stop myself from watching Harry Potter ( Cuz my sister told me it was crap, and i so totally trust her) and I managed to stop myself from watching The Simpsons Movie until everyone started bombarding me with the phrase “Spiderpig”. That pretty much drove me nuts.
I mean, what the hell did “spiderpig” have anything to do with Simpsons?
And well, there was the fact that Marie agreed to go watch it with me last Friday at Chadstone ( AND she got student priced vouchers!)

I have to say, I was rather impressed with how the australian cinemas looked like. I mean, its got curtains and everything- if I didn’t tell you I was in a cinema I could have fooled you into thinking that I was at some Production/Play/Ochestra (you get the idea) I won’t spoil the whole Spiderpig thing for you, go watch the movie ( IT was AWESOME) well not LOTR awesome but well, funny awesome.
Eh? oh for the uninformed, Chadstone is a shopping mall, HUGE by Australian standards thats located between Clayton and Caufield. Its one of the placed that makes you feel likeyou’re back home shopping in 1U or Megamall. Ahhh how I miss the ridiculously enormous shopping malls.
